Split monolytic init file in one init file per service
In the reworked "new installation" part of the ebuild, I needed to order users to start gitlay only. For systemd that was no problem as all have their own service file. But for the currently monolytic OpenRC init file my quick and dirty solution was to print
* Comment out all daemons in gitlabhq-13.7.4.init up to gitaly and run
* $ rc-service gitlabhq-13.7.4 start
* Remove the comments afterwards again.
Splitting the monolytic init file in one init file per service would certainly be a better solution and then I could say
* Gitaly must be running for the next step. Execute
* $ rc-service gitlab-gitaly-13.7.4 start
